I would like to compel you and and your entire ministry team to participate in the BiVocational Church Conference. Southeast Arkansas has its own unique ministry challenges that are unlike the rest of the state. It’s time we learn from each other as well as grow and go together. We can all do better reaching this part of the state with the gospel, however great our obstacles! Jesus has not tasked us to lead sleepy churches that do very little to gather the harvest and make disciples! We have been tasked to reach people who are spread out in rural settings and declining population. These are urgent days when we must do better and be at our best! Some churches have lost the passion and focus to reach people with the Good News, and the results are few people being saved, low and no baptisms. How does a church, your church, grow and find ministry success? Can we awaken the church for great days of ministry in these times? YES!! Yes…we can, I am convinced we can…..I have already seen it happen! There are plenty people to love, reach, and serve who need Jesus everywhere you look.
This is a conference for SEARK ministry leaders by SEARK ministry leaders. They know and understand your context along with the challenges you face. What’s your biggest ministry challenge? Can you identify useful resources? Who do you connect with to sharpen your ministry edge to stay focused and effective? Ministry in every setting and for every age group is challenging and often hard. This conference will help you and your leaders find success and victory in the Mandate to make more and better disciples. The BiVo Church Conference is to help you reach people even in agricultural settings, to increase church attendance and baptisms in all age groups, and restore the joy of your ministry. Your team will experience breakout sessions in their specific area of ministry by an experienced ministry team of 3. Topics will include: clarification of ministry roles, resources, best practices, and much more. The free conference also includes lunch, a discussion panel with the ABSC leaders, and a worship experience that puts into practice what was taught. This conference is specifically for BiVo ministry leaders led by smaller church ministry practitioners who have found success in ministry as they seek to make disciples and carry out the Great Commission in their SEARK setting. Register your team today!
Breakout Session Information:
Pastor - There are unique challenges with being a BiVocational Pastor. This breakout will help you with sermon preparation, spiritual leadership, leading the church, guiding the deacon body and balancing life.
Worship Leader - Do you ever feel the tension between the pastor, the congregation, and the Lord while staying true to your convictions and your calling? Join us for a time of discussion as we cover the topics of maintaining healthy relationships, the role of music leader; helps for planning and leading worship, and resources that are available to assist you in the area of music ministry.
Children's Leader - Are you struggling with how to define your role as a children’s worker or minister in your church? Are you in need of good resources that are scripturally sound and also easy to implement? Have you struggled to recruit and keep volunteers involved in your ministry? If so, you are in the same place as many of our churches in our area. Come and lets discuss together ways that we can help each other grow in the areas of our role, usable resources, and replicating our ministry to the volunteers God has given us.
Youth Leader - Do you ever feel like you're the only one who is trying to reach and equip the next generation of Christ-followers? As our culture continues to become more post-Christian it is essential that churches have a healthy, complete, and effective strategy to minister to teenagers. Join us on February 22 as Dr. Walter Norvell, Associate Professor of Christian Education at Williams Baptist University and Steven Price, Student Pastor at FBC, Monticello lead us in a discussion on the role of those who minister to students; resources to help along the way; and ways to intentionally reproduce ministry. This time is for anyone who currently ministers to teenagers in their church as well as for those who are exploring the possibility of ministering to teenagers in the future.
